Meredith received her BFA in 1977 from Parson's School of Design and has had solo exhibitions in New York, and in Telluride and Ridgway Colorado. She has consistently exhibited in juried and invitational shows for many years. She has several years of teaching experience, has published in American Artist Magazine, and is now the ownerr of the Ridgway Gallery, in Ridgway, CO. Before coming to Ridgway, Meredith owned an art gallery in New York City for eleven years. During that time, she was a figurative painter. In 1988, she moved to Ridgway with the intention of becoming a full-time artist. The change from living in an urban to rural environment compelled her to paint the landscape searching for the figure. She works primarily in both watercolor and in charcoal paint, but no matter what medium she is undoubtedly a favorite artist of the area and popular and inspirational WCA instructor.
