SIMPLE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Simple Scholarship Application:  This Scholarship allows for up to two scholarships per semester in the dance program or one scholarship per semester in our other arts classes and programs.  This scholarship is has a basic application form with a maximum request of 50% of the cost of the class or a maximum of $100 per class (ex:  if a class is $200 or above, the maximum allocated would be $100).  For each “Simple Scholarship” awarded, Weehawken expects the student/family to sign-on for at least 8 hours of volunteer labor in exchange.  Failure to complete volunteer hours will result in expulsion from the scholarship program in the future.

In some instances, and depending on the number of applications, Weehawken may not be able to grant all of the scholarship requests that come forward 100%. On the same note, Weehawken is sometimes willing to trade labor or services for classes.  Is there any special skill that we should be aware of that you are willing to offer?  Or, is there a limit to the amount of time that you might be able to contribute in trade for a class?
