About the Instructor:

Tammy Kenning’s 20-year involvement in music education has taken many shapes, from elementary music teacher, to middle/high school choral director, to church organist and choir director, to private voice and piano instructor. She has a Master’s degree in Music Education with an emphasis in the Kodaly Concept, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Colorado State University.

Tammy has directed choirs and sung in musicals and operas for the last 30 years, ranging from My Fair Lady to Candide. She is also a member of Dolce Voce, an eight-person a cappella ensemble. Last but not least, Tammy has nurtured her own two sons through song, using the same techniques she shares here. She's proud to say they've grown into exceptional musicians.

Kenning notes, “I teach, I have taught and I will continue to help others find their voice.  It’s part of the bigger picture of who I am and what I strive to cultivate.  I sing with others everyday in many different settings.  I had the advantage of musical training, lessons, studying music in college and the greatest teacher of all, teaching others.  I believe in singing, to and with each other.”

GO Date

February 1, 2010

The "go" date is the date at which WCA determines whether there are enough students or not to run the class.  If this is a class you are interested in, please be sure to enroll before the "Go" date (and encourage your friends to do so as well) so that we can be sure to run the class! We will notify you at the end of the business day on the "GO" date if the class is to be cancelled so that you can make other plans for that date, but ideally, we'll see you at the class!
