Privacy Policy

Weehawken Creative Arts (WCA) is committed to safeguarding your privacy online. In general, you can visit the WCA Web site without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. Please read the following policy to understand how personal information that you provide will be treated as you make use of our online offerings. Note that we review our privacy practices from time to time, and that such practices are subject to change. We ask that our visitors periodically review this page to ensure familiarity with the most current version of our privacy statement. If you have any questions or comments about our privacy practices, you can contact us at questions@weehawkenarts.org

E-Mail Contents

You may choose to provide us with personal information in an e-mail message to one of the addresses listed throughout our site or by registering for one of our listservs. We use this information only to respond to your message or to register you for the services you have requested.

Discussion Lists & Special Interest Groups

If you sign up for or subscribe to an e-mail newsletter, discussion list, or special-interest alert, you will receive the information that you have requested, and have the option of unsubscribing or removing your name from the list at any time. Any information you choose to provide regarding special interests may be used for marketing and promotional purposes. By providing this information, you may receive occasional e-mail messages from WCA.

Online Purchases

The information you provide on the online order form (your name, address, telephone numbers, credit card information, and e-mail address) is used for billing purposes, to fill the order, and to reach you if we have trouble processing your order.

Opting-Out

If you do not want your name and/or contact information to be used in the manner stated above, you may indicate this at the time you provide the information. If an “opt-out” option is not offered you may also notify us in an e-mail addressed to questions@weehawkenarts.org. Please note that in many instances, “opting-out” will result in an inability for us to change the “opt-out” setting. Specifically, once you “opt-out” of our system, we will not be able to “opt-in” the same email address in the future.

Third Party Links

WCA Web site contains links to other Internet sites. We encourage all of our partners, contributors, and third parties to implement policies and practices that respect the privacy of our users. However, WCA is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such Web sites.

Data Sharing

WCA does not share your information with any third parties for mailing lists, etc. The information you provide to Weehawken is for Weehawken’s use only. When registering for a class, your Weehawken instructors are given access to specific areas of your data (but not all). For example, they can access your email address to communicate with you about a class or any medical notes and emergency numbers. In some specific and relevant instances, Weehawken may work with a partner to distribute information on their behalf, but we only do so by maintaining control of our database — and distributing information for them — your contact information is never given to them directly.
